Mindfulness has become extremely popular in recent years. If you are thinking about doing a Mindfulness  course, it is important to find a teacher who is properly trained, experienced, and is committed to offering courses with integrity and commitment to the core principles of Mindfulness.

Kind to Mind was established by Rachael Orr to provide high quality, affordable Mindfulness courses in the community. Rachael is a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher. Before starting Kind to Mind, she worked in the NHS for many years, helping people with a range of depression, anxiety and eating disorders and also supervising other clinicians.

Rachael has trained to teach Mindfulness through the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at the University of Bangor – an internationally recognised centre of excellence in Mindfulness teaching and has also recently undertaken the Mindfulness in Schools Project training to teach Mindfulness in Primary Schools (the Paws Be course). She has spoken at a number of conferences and seminars and delivered training on the use of Mindfulness to medical students, NHS staff, and a range of community and professional groups. In addition to offering Mindfulness through Kind to Mind, Rachael is a Teaching Fellow in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at the University of Surrey.

Rachael follows the Mindfulness Based Teachers Good Practice Guidance for Teaching  and is listed on the UK Teachers Network Listing.  She is registered with, and abides by the codes of ethics of the Health and Care Professions Council, and the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists. Rachael has a well established personal Mindfulness practice which she tends to daily.
